Information

Name: Yuri | ユーリ
Canon: Gnosia (2025 anime adaptation)
Birthday: October 11th
Age: 18~ish (just safe to assume...)
Species: Human
Height: A little under 162.56cm
Personality
Yuri is an earnest individual who takes their predicament seriously while maintaining a relative calm in many situations. They are remarkably empathetic of their peers regardless of their role or disposition; they put in a genuine effort to understand and empathize with their fellow crew members, in hopes to dig deeper into their pasts and true feelings. Yuri is also intuitive, able to piece together truths of a given circumstance with gathered information and somewhat pick up on others' falsehoods. This intuitiveness in turn gives Yuri the capability to form strategic and logical plans in a given situation.

Despite this though, Yuri sometimes makes poor decisions, whether that comes in the form of fumbling certain interactions on their part, being deceived or making misguided judgements — some of which ending up horribly costly, either for themself or for their peers. Additionally, Yuri struggles to get others to trust them or agree with their statements more often than not (particularly in the context of Gnosia). However, each mistake they make allows them to apply knowledge they gain in previous loops to each new loop.

Regardless of circumstances, Yuri genuinely believes that everyone has the possibility to see a future where they can truly be happy. This is what drives Yuri to achieve their goal as they travel across time loops, from each interaction and learning about the crew.
Background
Yuri has no memories of their background; where they came from or who they are. It is only through bits of information given to them that Yuri learns they had evacuated a Gnosia-infested planet Liu-An and onto the interstellar cruiser D.Q.O, yet had sustained injuries so severe that they had to be resuscitated in a medical pod for some time.

They are bequeathed a parasitic organism known as a "Silver Key," which allows Yuri to transcend death... and entraps them in a never-ending time loop. With no memories and a vague understanding of their situation, Yuri finds themself floundering through daily meetings held to send off those deemed to be suspicious enough to cold sleep in an effort to eliminate the Gnosia that threaten the human crew — to varying degrees of success.

Each loop presents new situations and new threats — in some cases, finding themself to be Gnosia — and it is never clear who can truly be trusted. But no matter what the loops present to Yuri, their mission remains unchanging: get closer to the crew members, gather as much information as possible, and find a way to escape the loops. Come what may, in every triumph and death, Yuri strives to free everyone and bring them their tomorrow.

...Even if, in some loops, that conquest requires Yuri to become the very thing they have to vie against, and deceive and eliminate the humans they are meant to protect.
